At Thalyria Beauty & Co., we are committed to providing a professional, luxury beauty experience through every appointment and service we offer.


Due to the time, preparation, sanitation procedures, product usage, scheduling commitments, and customized nature of beauty services, all services provided by Thalyria Beauty & Co. are subject to the following Refund Policy.


By booking, purchasing, or receiving services, clients acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

 

 


1. All Services Are Final Sale


All beauty services performed by Thalyria Beauty & Co. are considered final sale.


This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lash extensions
  • Lash fills
  • Lash lifts and tints
  • Brow services
  • Facial waxing
  • Body waxing
  • Consultations
  • Corrective services
  • Promotional services
  • Discounted services
  • Future cosmetic or beauty services


Because service results are:

  • Customized
  • Time-based
  • Hygienic in nature
  • Immediately consumed upon completion


we do not offer refunds for completed services except where required under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws.

 

 


2. No Refunds for Personal Preference


Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind
  • Personal preference
  • Style dissatisfaction after approval
  • Inspiration photo differences
  • Expected versus perceived fullness
  • Lash styling preferences
  • Sensitivity to waxing discomfort
  • Minor redness or temporary irritation
  • Natural shedding
  • Retention issues outside our control
  • Failure to follow aftercare instructions


Clients are encouraged to communicate preferences during consultations and appointments to ensure the best possible outcome.

 

 


3. Results Vary Between Individuals


Clients acknowledge that cosmetic results vary based on factors including:

  • Natural lash cycles
  • Hair growth cycles
  • Skin type
  • Oil production
  • Lifestyle habits
  • Medications
  • Hormones
  • Pregnancy
  • Allergies or sensitivities
  • Sleeping position
  • Product usage
  • Aftercare compliance
  • Environmental exposure


As these factors are outside our reasonable control, Thalyria Beauty & Co. cannot guarantee:

  • Exact retention periods
  • Specific cosmetic outcomes
  • Identical results to reference photos
  • Compatibility with every skin or hair type


Variations in results do not qualify for refunds.

 



4. Client Responsibility


Clients are responsible for:

  • Following all aftercare instructions
  • Disclosing allergies and medical conditions
  • Arriving prepared for appointments
  • Communicating concerns during the appointment
  • Avoiding behaviours that compromise results


Thalyria Beauty & Co. is not responsible for issues resulting from:

  • Picking, rubbing, or pulling lashes
  • Improper cleansing
  • Oil-based products
  • Exposure to heat, steam, or excessive moisture
  • Failure to follow aftercare guidance
  • Undisclosed medical conditions
  • Work altered by another technician
  • Self-removal attempts
  • Delayed reporting of concerns

 

 

5. Corrective Appointments


Client satisfaction is important to us; however, corrective appointments are offered solely at our discretion.


Where appropriate, we may offer:

  • Minor adjustments
  • Lash corrections
  • Removal services
  • Reasonable touch-ups


Corrective services may be denied where:

  • Aftercare instructions were not followed
  • Another provider altered the work
  • Excessive time has passed since the appointment
  • Damage resulted from client actions
  • Retention loss occurred naturally
  • Medical or lifestyle factors affected results


Corrective services do not constitute an admission of fault or liability.

 

 


6. Reporting Concerns


Clients must report concerns within the following timeframes:

  • 48 hours for lash-related services
  • 24 hours for waxing-related concerns involving irritation or service quality


Concerns reported outside these timeframes may not qualify for corrective review.


To properly assess concerns, clients may be required to provide:

  • Clear photographs
  • Appointment details
  • Aftercare information
  • Product usage information


Failure to cooperate with review requests may limit our ability to assess concerns fairly.

 

 

7. Deposits, Booking Fees & Cancellations


Deposits and booking fees are governed under our Booking & Cancellation Policies and are generally:

  • Non-refundable
  • Applied toward the final appointment total
  • Subject to forfeiture for policy violations


Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Missed appointments
  • Late cancellations
  • No-shows
  • Same-day cancellations
  • Failure to follow booking instructions


Exceptions may be considered solely at our discretion or where required by law.

 

 


8. Gift Cards & Promotional Services


Unless otherwise required by applicable law:

  • Gift cards are non-refundable
  • Promotional services are final sale
  • Discounted services are final sale
  • Giveaway prizes hold no cash value
  • Promotional credits cannot be redeemed for cash


Gift cards may not be replaced if:

  • Lost
  • Stolen
  • Damaged
  • Used without authorization

 

 


9. Retail Products


While Thalyria Beauty & Co. primarily provides services rather than retail goods, any approved retail product sales are generally considered final sale for hygiene and safety reasons.


Opened, used, or tampered products are not eligible for return or refund unless:

  • Required by applicable law
  • The product is proven defective upon purchase


We reserve the right to refuse returns that appear:

  • Fraudulent
  • Excessive
  • Abusive
  • Inconsistent with this policy

 

 


10. Allergic Reactions & Sensitivities


Clients acknowledge that beauty services involve inherent risks including:

  • Allergic reactions
  • Irritation
  • Redness
  • Histamine reactions
  • Sensitivity
  • Swelling
  • Temporary discomfort


Patch testing may be recommended; however:

  • Patch testing does not guarantee reaction-free services
  • Allergies may develop over time
  • Reactions can occur unexpectedly


Refunds are not automatically provided for allergic or sensitivity reactions where:

  • Negligence has not occurred
  • Proper procedures were followed
  • Risks were disclosed beforehand

 

 


11. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes


By purchasing services, clients agree not to initiate fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks.


Clients agree to contact Thalyria Beauty & Co. first to attempt resolution before initiating disputes with financial institutions.


We reserve the right to provide evidence in response to disputes including:

  • Signed agreements
  • Consent forms
  • Booking confirmations
  • Policies acknowledged at booking
  • Appointment records
  • Communications
  • Photographs
  • Timestamped records
  • Cancellation history


Fraudulent chargebacks may result in:

  • Permanent refusal of future services
  • Collections activity where legally permitted
  • Recovery attempts for associated fees and losses
  • Legal action where appropriate

 



12. Abuse of Policy


Thalyria Beauty & Co. reserves the right to refuse refunds, future bookings, or services where we reasonably believe a client is:

  • Exploiting policies
  • Engaging in fraudulent behaviour
  • Repeatedly seeking refunds
  • Attempting chargeback abuse
  • Making false claims
  • Acting in bad faith


We reserve the right to document and retain records relating to disputes for legal and operational purposes.
 

 

 

13. Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, Thalyria Beauty & Co. shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages
  • Consequential damages
  • Emotional distress
  • Lost wages
  • Missed events
  • Dissatisfaction based on personal preference
  • Natural retention variations
  • Reactions outside our reasonable control
  • Client failure to follow aftercare instructions


Nothing within this Refund Policy excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Canadian law.

Thalyria Beauty & Co. reserves the right to:

  • Modify
  • Update
  • Revise
  • Amend


this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.


Updated versions become effective immediately upon posting or publication.


Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised policies.

 

 

 


15. Governing Law


This Refund Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with:

  • Applicable federal laws of Canada


Any disputes relating to refunds, payments, or services shall be handled within the appropriate jurisdiction of British Columbia unless otherwise required by law.

By booking, purchasing, or receiving services from Thalyria Beauty & Co., clients acknowledge and agree that they:

  • Understand that services are generally final sale
  • Understand that cosmetic results vary between individuals
  • Accept the inherent risks associated with beauty services
  • Agree to follow all aftercare instructions
  • Understand that refunds are limited and discretionary except where required by law
  • Agree to all associated Terms, Policies, Waivers, and Booking Conditions maintained by Thalyria Beauty & Co.
